DATA PROTECTION

Why do we collect data?

On the one hand, we collect personal data from our users in order to carry out calculations on the topic of sustainability and to process associated quality assurance measures such as sustainability footprint calculation, monitoring and certification. We collect data on user behaviour so that we can continuously adapt and optimise our service to the interests and wishes of our users. In doing so, we comply with all relevant provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act (TKG).

For this purpose, we receive information about your webshop usage, such as how you call up products, place them in the shopping basket or remove them again, or how you initiate, cancel and complete a purchase. We see how customers behave as a result of an advert in our shop or learn how many products are included in a transaction on average. You can find more information about Google's e-commerce reports here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6014841.

The protection of your personal data is an important and serious concern for us. Before using the analysis service, we familiarised ourselves with the data protection regulations and are of the opinion that Google takes data protection seriously. Google offers many options for both website operators and users to decide for themselves whether and which data may be collected.

When it comes to the further use of usage statistics, ECOMODATION itself has the option of deciding whether the data may be further used by Google or whether it may only be used within our Analytics account. ECOMODATION does NOT share the data collected through the website and in the shop with Google.Visitor action pixel from Facebook

It uses ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have activated IP anonymisation, which means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. This means that it is no longer possible for the provider to trace the IP address back to the user; only rough information about the provider's location can be retrieved. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google uses the information collected on our behalf to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the statutory provisions of Section 96 (3) TKG and Article 6 (1) (a) (consent) and/or (b) (necessary for contract fulfilment) of the GDPR.You can find more information on the use of data by Google and the cookies that Google Analytics places on your computer at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

The Facebook remarketing tag has been implemented on this website for this purpose. This tag establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers when you visit the website.
